When her apartment is terminated, student Nelly moves with her slightly demented grandmother to her plot in the community garden. Inspired and supported by her enamoured neighbour, she sets off to fight the pedantic president of the family garden, Franco, and unwittingly shakes the well-kept secret that once divided her family - and which had its beginning in the colourful and multicultural community garden world.

The film, which opens with students arriving at a police academy, is a crazy comedy that is more a series of zany episodes and jokes than a coherent story. They are linked by a simple plot in which the commander of the police academy, Major Maisner, searches among his recruits for an alleged FBI spy and, after a not-so-subtle practical joke, gets into a dispute with his subordinate, a dispute that ends in a genuine bank robbery.

It is supposed to be the happiest day of Franka's life, the day she marries the wealthy Alexander. But just then she discovers that she is pregnant—and that there is a possibility that the father is not her future husband, but her brief affair Niko. Unfortunately, it is precisely Niko who shows up at the wedding and tries to prevent the ceremony by any means necessary...
